Exhausted!!!

It was a very weary bunch of students that set off for Harlyn Bay today. Once they were kitted out in their wetsuits it didn't take long before they were enjoying themselves sea kayaking.

This was followed by another lunch on the beach. We played music and danced til it was time to go back in the water.

Students and staff played bulldog on the beach and then went surfing and bodyboarding. We are now all safely back at the hostel packing our bags and waiting for dinner

Segway

We changed our Segway session to Wednesday night as the forecast was not good for Thursday.  We met Steve and Paul our Segway instructors at Hendra Holiday Park. As soon as we're kitted out with our safety gear we were given our segways. These machines cost around £4-5000 each and have a top speed of 15mph. After learning how to start the Segway, and more importantly stop the Segway, we were taken round the fields of Hendra. Staff and students then took part in races and went over an assault course. Cameron was our speed demon racing round the courses. We had a few falls - Cameron, Elliott, Megan and staff Alex H. No injuries though!

When we were done everyone was given a certificate and given stamps according to their performance and ability - Cameron was given 3 dangerous stamps!!

This was a fabulous day full of sunshine and laughs it didn't take long for everyone to fall asleep once back at the hostel.

Creaky, Padstow, chips and cake!

After another lovely breakfast in our hostel we set off for Padstow.  We split into groups to have a wander around the quaint little seaside town.  Students bought gifts for their families, friends and themselves.

Two of the groups met in a coffee shop where they enjoyed some of the fabulous he me made cakes

After cake and shopping we met for lunch at Rick Steins fish and chip shop. Adventurous student's  had mackerel, squid and tiger prawns others had good old cod and chips.

We were a bit naughty and fed the seagulls!

After lunch we set off to Crealy.

We did every ride in the park (some several times over), we've had ice cream, pony rides, fed emus and tickled piglets and we all had tremendous fun.
